Two coverages to choose from
Scheduled benefit accidentThis coverage is a great fit for clients who prioritize catastrophic injury protection. It pays fixed amounts based on the types of injuries or treatments, and in general, the more serious the accident, the greater the benefits paid. Injuries and diagnosesBenefits are paid for many injuries and diagnoses, including animal bites, carbon monoxide poisoning, electric shocks, injuries from a robbery or aggravated assault, sprains, traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) and more. Medical servicesPlease note these are only covered if they're required as a result of a covered accident that occurs while the policy is in effect. Benefits are paid for many medical services, including acupuncture, home health care services, joint replacements, telemedicine follow-up doctor visits, urgent care, vocational therapy and more. Catastrophic accident benefit riders*Standard: A lump-sum benefit is provided if an insured suffers accidental death, common carrier accidental death, or bodily dismemberment as the direct result of an accident. Enhanced: Includes the standard catastrophic accident benefit, plus advance benefit payments for terminal injuries and benefits for mass shooting death, natural disaster death, survivor income and workplace death.
Wellness screening benefit riders*Standard: Pays benefits for covered screenings such as mammograms, blood tests for lipids, chest X-rays and more. Enhanced: Includes the standard wellness screenings, plus benefits for annual physicals, biometric screenings, dental exams/cleanings, eye exams, immunizations and well-child exams.
Organized sport activity benefit riders*Child organized sport activity benefit rider: This rider pays a higher benefit amount for accidents that occur during organized sporting events. It covers children of any age, as long as they are covered dependents on the insured's plan. Insured organized sport activity benefit rider: This rider allows the primary insured and their covered spouse and/or dependent children to be eligible for higher benefit amounts if they experience an accident that occurs during organized sporting events.
24-hour OR nonoccupational coverage24-hour coverage for accidents that occur either on or off the job can be provided. Nonoccupational options are also available.
Family-focused benefit riders*Child care benefit rider: Pays benefits if the insured needs to arrange new child care services as a result of their injury. Pet care and boarding benefit rider: Pays benefits if the insured needs to arrange new pet care services for cats, dogs or horses at their residence as a result of their injury. Parental caregiver benefit rider: Allows insureds to extend their core accident coverage to parents, in-laws or grandparents who reside with them full-time.
First responder and health care worker benefit riders*First responder benefit rider: First responders can receive benefits for gunshot wounds, workplace aggravated assault and more. Health care worker benefit rider: Health care workers can receive benefits for workplace aggravated assault and occupational HIV/HEP/TB exposures or diagnoses. Health systems additional benefit rider: Health care workers can receive higher benefit amounts for certain medical services provided within their employer's system. |
Per-occurrence accidentIf your clients are new to accident insurance or need a simpler plan design, per-occurrence accident insurance is the way to go. It pays 100% of eligible services and supplies related to an accidental injury, up to your client’s plan maximum. Plans can be customized between $300 and $10,000 per accident, and cover one or three accidents per insured, per year. Benefits are paid for the following eligible expenses related to an accident.
